Laboratory Experiments on Soil Stabilization to Enhance Strength Parameters for Road Pavement

Abstract Clay soils can cause significant distress in road construction due to their low strength. Stabilizing such soil improve with binder agents prior the geotechnical works significantly its performance and ensure safety stability of roads while exploitation. This research envisaged use five different binders (lime, energy fly ash, bio slag, cement) as an additive stabilizing strength parameters required engineering industry standards. The variations was assessed using measurements P-wave velocity elastic waves propagating through specimens stabilized by combination binders. Measurements were performed on 28 th day treatment. best effects added noted following combinations: cement / ash (P-waves >3100 m/s), followed lime GGBFS >2800 m/s) >2700 m/s). Adding is effective fixation chemical bond particles. study contributes industrial tests for constructing roadbed.
